Day 24 |Peyton Planted

My very first paper child! And it’s of my dog, Peyton. I left him there as is at first but then capillary action happened when I checked on it so I ended up taping him up for better water resistance. >_>

This may not look like much but I did actually waste spend an hour and change at work drawing and setting this up… ;w;

“Why won’t you draw me as a waterbender water bending and riding a dragon shark in the ocean?” he asks.

And so I did. But only because it’s his birthday and I needed to do some drawing time. This may be a cool concept on its own but my familial bias leaves me unable to take my brother’s face any more seriously than Meelo’s lumpy shaped head.

This is the most effort I’ve ever put into a bullshit piece. I’ve never drawn the ocean or had to do aquatic-y reflective lighting before… I should probably try and improve myself on that.

One of my headcanons is that Katara would tell stories of Aang’s greatness to Korra with the intentions of puffing up Korra’s eagerness to be an awesome avatar.
